Whole-house and estate cleanouts

When a whole house needs to be emptied, after a loss, a downsize, or before a sale, we clear it room by room. Keepsakes and paperwork get set aside, usable items go to donation, and a dumpster in the driveway takes the rest.

How we work

Organized, careful, and done room by room

Clearing a whole house is rarely just a hauling job. There are decisions to make, family members to check with, and things that matter more than they look. We keep the process simple:

  1. Walkthrough

We go through the house with you, in person or over video, and note what stays.

  2. A plan and a price

You get a free estimate that says how many dumpsters or loads we expect.

  3. Room by room

We sort as we go: keep, donate, scrap, recycle, or trash.

  4. Empty and swept

Every room we clear is left empty and swept, ready for the next step.

Before the cleanout

A short checklist for families

  • Remove valuables and important papers: wills, deeds, bank records, jewelry, and photos.
  • Agree on keepsakes with other family members before the work begins.
  • Have valuables appraised first if you think there are antiques or collectibles.
  • Handle medications safely. Many police stations and pharmacies have drug take-back boxes.
  • Set aside hazardous items like chemicals and propane tanks for a household hazardous waste day.

Honest advice

Is a cleanout crew the right first step?

We’re a good fit when…

  • The whole house, attic, basement, and garage need to be emptied
  • You’re working toward a closing or listing date
  • Family lives far away and needs someone local
  • Most of what’s left isn’t worth selling

Start somewhere else when…

  • There may be valuable antiques or collections (call an appraiser or estate sale company first)
  • Lots of furniture is in good shape (a donation pickup may take it for free)
  • Only a few rooms need clearing (see junk removal)

Questions

Questions people ask

Something else? Text us. You’ll get an answer from the person doing the job.

What happens if you find something valuable or personal?

We set aside anything that looks valuable or personal, like photos, documents, jewelry, or cash, and hand it back to you. It’s still best to remove important items before the cleanout starts.

I live out of state. Can you still do the cleanout?

Yes. We can walk through it with you over photos or video and send updates by text. Someone just needs to arrange access to the house.

Do you run estate sales or buy items?

No. If there are antiques or valuables, have an estate sale company or appraiser look first. We clear what’s left afterward.

Will a whole house fit in one dumpster?

Sometimes, but a full house often takes more than one 13–15 yard dumpster or extra pickup loads. Your estimate will say exactly what we plan to use.

Can you help with a hoarding situation?

We can clear heavily packed homes at a steady, respectful pace. If there are biohazards or unsafe conditions, a specialty cleaning company may need to go in first, and we’ll tell you if so.

Free estimate

Tell us about the house. We’ll set up a free estimate.

Three quick steps, no obligation. Photos help the most, so text us a few if you can. We’ll get back to you with a free estimate.
