We empty basements top to bottom: boxes, old furniture, broken appliances, and decades of storage. We do all the carrying up the stairs, sort what can be donated or recycled, and haul the rest away.
What comes out
Everything that’s been “stored for later”
Basements collect a little of everything. These are the things we carry up most often.
Old furniture
Couches, bed frames, mattresses, shelving units, and broken chairs moved downstairs “for now.”
Appliances
Old fridges and freezers, dehumidifiers, washers, dryers, and water heaters that were already disconnected.
Exercise equipment
Treadmills, weight benches, and bikes, taken apart when that’s the only way up the stairs.
Water-damaged items
Wet cardboard, ruined carpet, and belongings that didn’t survive a leak.
Workshop leftovers
Old tools, scrap lumber, and metal, with the metal set aside for a scrap yard.
Before we come
Five minutes of prep that saves time
- Mark what stays. Painter’s tape or sticky notes on anything you’re keeping works well.
- Pull out personal papers and photos you want to go through yourself.
- Set aside hazardous items like chemicals, fuel, propane tanks, and liquid paint. We can’t take those.
- Tell us about the exit: interior stairs, a bulkhead, a walkout door, and any tight turns.
- Check for a dumpster spot in the driveway, close to the door we’ll carry things out of.

Do I need to sort or box anything before you come?
No. It helps to mark what stays with tape or sticky notes and pull out anything personal you want to go through yourself. We handle the rest.
Can you remove an old oil tank or boiler?
No. Oil tanks and heating equipment need licensed specialists to disconnect and remove them safely. We can clear everything around them.
What happens to old paint cans in the basement?
We don’t take liquid paint or chemicals. Check your town’s rules or its household hazardous waste collection day. Our Massachusetts disposal guide explains the options.
Our basement flooded. Can you haul the damaged stuff?
Yes, we can remove water-damaged belongings, carpet, and boxes. We aren’t a water damage or mold remediation company, so fix any active leak or mold problem with a specialist first.
How long does a basement cleanout take?
It depends on how full it is and how easy the stairs and exit are. We’ll give you a time estimate along with the price.
